1. MEASURING AND CUT TING THE BEL T

        To measure the belt length, use a metric measuring tape. The measurement should be done on the belt that is  well stretched and straight.
        

         A length equal to 25% of belt width should be added to the final length of the belt for the joining purpose.

2. PREP ARING THE JOINT

Cut in diagonal both belt ends, which correspond, to 25% of the belt width.

Separate the ply on each end of the belt to a depth of approximately 55mm. Whenever possible, carry out this

process by using the ply-separator machine (esbelt LST 150).

Remove the bottom step of each end of the belt.

The fastener should be placed in a way that the top cover of the belt does not overlap the fastener reinforcement.

3.  JOINT FUSION

     Place the belt on the lateral side of the press (see photo), be careful not to deform the plastic fastener with  the pressure.

                       Carry out the same operation on the other end of the joint.

                       Refer to the splicing parameters for the corresponding splicing data.
